Quality down to the tiniest detail

specialization starts, or as one might say the real nitpicking. A blind rivet has to fit with 100 percent accuracy into the drilled hole because otherwise there will be rattling noises, from the car-window-winder for instance, and that sort of thing is irritating. Or the rivet mandrel will pull through the hollow rivet, and if this happens in an airbag the consequences could be fatal. The same applies to scaffolding: the crucial point is the durability of the connection. The quality of the blind rivet is shown in installation and use, in the choice of raw material, in the extensive quality controls during production, and particularly in the final quality check with intensive functional tests. This, moreover, has to be done all over the world to the quality standards laid down in Germany.

If all this is true of the blind rivet, it is equally true of its partner, the riveting machine. Only if the rivet and the riveter are perfectly matched can you be sure of high riveting speeds, low wear, and the best possible results. There are, of course, other factors at work as well, so we work constantly on improving existing machines and developing new ones, always taking our line from the requirements of international industry and its many different industries. This is the only way in which blind-riveting technology can continue to be a rational, cost-saving, and competitive system.

What comes out of our presses is high-precision hi-tech, the “icing on the cake” of blind-rivet development. Standard blind rivets. Industrial rivets. Multiple-use blind rivets. Split rivets. Pressure-lug rivets. And sealed blind rivets, to name but a few.
The hollow rivet is usually produced by cold extrusion. Small pieces cut off big reels of wire are shaped step-by-step under unimaginable pressure until they have heads and shafts. Particularly long types or blind rivets are of course flanged from tubular material. The rivet mandrel is produced on high-performance presses. Machines that we ourselves have developed then bring the hollow rivet and the rivet mandrel together, and the blind rivet is then finished.
So far, so good. But all this does not basically differentiate us from other manufacturers. As we all know, the devil is in the detail, so this is where true
